Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 13, 2026

These Terms govern your use of P2Guard, operated by Oakland Technologies Limited. By using P2Guard, you agree to these Terms.

1. Nature of Service

P2Guard provides digital escrow facilitation services. We hold funds temporarily pending completion of agreed transactions.

We are not:

  • A bank
  • A lending institution
  • A manufacturer of goods
  • A logistics carrier

P2Guard shall not be responsible for any transactions conducted outside the platform. Users who choose to complete transactions outside P2Guard do so at their own risk.

2. Escrow Process

  • Buyer funds transaction
  • Funds are held in escrow
  • Seller schedules delivery
  • Buyer pays delivery fee and applicable service charges
  • Funds are released upon delivery confirmation

3. Fees

The following fees apply:

  • Escrow fee: 2% of transaction value (minimum ₦200, maximum ₦3,000)
  • Delivery margin: Applied to logistics charges
  • Insurance: Optional and calculated based on declared value

All fees are displayed before payment confirmation.

4. Delivery and Logistics

P2Guard partners with third-party logistics providers. Delivery timelines and liability are subject to the carrier's policies.

We are not responsible for courier delays outside our control.

P2Guard does not take possession of goods and is not responsible for loss, damage, or delays caused by third-party logistics providers beyond our control.

Delivery confirmation rule

Delivery shall be deemed completed once the buyer confirms receipt or provides the delivery confirmation code. Failure to report issues within the dispute window shall be treated as acceptance of the transaction.

5. Dispute Resolution

Users must report disputes within the specified dispute window.

P2Guard acts as an independent facilitator and does not guarantee outcomes in disputes. Decisions are made based on available evidence and are final.

6. Prohibited Activities

Users may not use P2Guard for:

  • Fraudulent activities
  • Money laundering
  • Sale of illegal goods
  • Sale of counterfeit items
  • Terror financing
  • Any unlawful activity

7. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts suspected of:

  • Fraud
  • Chargeback abuse
  • False claims
  • Breach of these Terms

8. Account Responsibility

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information. P2Guard shall not be liable for unauthorized access resulting from user negligence.

9. Limitation of Liability

P2Guard shall not be liable for:

  • Product quality disputes
  • Seller misrepresentation
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Force majeure events

In all cases, P2Guard's total liability shall be limited to the amount held in escrow for the specific transaction in question.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
